Extra Income Goal

My journey to earning more extra income

I Reached the Highest Level with Associated Content

I could go on and on about Associated Content since I enjoy it so much. So I’m excited that I’ve made the highest clout level with them– Clout 10. What’s a clout level? Well, the clout ranking determines how much you make per article page view.

I’m now passively earning $2.00 per 1,000 page views. Up from $1.75 per 1,000. A 12.5 percent increase. Now I’m waiting for my clout level image to update on my Associate Content profile page. It takes a day or so to update. Hopefully my articles in general will generate more interest because of making the highest level.

A Mini Review on Amazon Mechanical Turk

In the fall I signed up for Amazon’s Mechanical Turk. When I first heard about it, I thought it was a pretty odd sounding name. What’s a Turk? Lol. (Unrelated side note: A Turk is a native or inhabitant of Turkey.)

Ok, back on the subject. Amazon Mechanical Turk is a listing of various tasks that people need completed. The work is submitted right there on the site. You sign in and can browse a variety of task postings including sorting photos, inputting data from scanned materials and writing articles.

The pay ranges from 0 cents per task (Who would take that?) to $30 per task. Perhaps more. Some tasks are more involve than others. The tasks are called Hits, which you can accept and begin working right away. If your work is accepted, you’re paid. Your work could also be rejected so keep that in mind when selecting a task.

Do what you’re comfortable with and what you think is worth your time. I haven’t done much of this because many of the tasks are low paying, but I thought I’d pass this info along in case any of the readers are interested. If you want to check it out you can visit www.mturk.com.

ChaCha Goal for May 31-June 6

Here’s my ChaCha ticker for this week. I got distracted with something else and came up a little short last week. This week I’ll make it for sure though.

Update: It’s Thursday and I’m only at $13.48. Eek! Will I make it? We’ll see.

Update 2: I’ve decided to suspend this goal this week after I hit $30. I’m tore in about four different directions this week so it hasn’t been feasible. Next week I’m going to make an overall goal encompassing all of my money making endeavors–increasing my passive income generating efforts and scaling down more from ChaCha.

My Review of IntelliShop- A Mystery Shopping Company

One of the longest running things I’ve done to make extra money is mystery shopping for IntelliShop. I’ve done numerous shops since February 2005, including electronic shops, pizza shops (yum!) and store audits.

The shop pay has ranged from $8 to $25. Most of them didn’t require me to purchase anything. And if it did, such as the pizza ones, I was reimbursed. I’m pretty satisfied with IntelliShop because they are fair in the shop review and always pay on time. And every little bit of money adds up.

IntelliShop sends out emails regularly with available shops. You have to act quick to claim a shop. Other shops you can apply for and they’ll get back to you on if you’ve got the shop. The higher rating you maintain, the better chance you have of getting the shops you want. My average shopper rating is 9/10 because I take my time in filing reports in a timely manner.

I suggest you give mystery shopping a try and don’t feel hesitant in signing up with IntelliShop. I work with another company that I’ll mention sometime in the future.

I may offer some mystery shopping tips I’ve learned over the years.
